Dahlia Couture Academy (DCA) is a fashion school committed to providing essential skills acquisition to aspiring fashion professionals in Nigeria and the world at large.
Our goal at the completion of this academy session is to build entrepreneurs that can compete with the ever-evolving fashion industry. Our commitment to serving will ensure that all designers are furnished with the skills to earn a living or spark a career in a fashion trending world .
We offer a wide range of courses that will fit beginners and intermediate fashion designers.
The entire academy session is segmented into 6 levels. All levels are set for a duration of 2 months each, while candidates must attain a pass mark of 70% to progress to the next level.
At the moment, seats are available ONLY for Level 1-3 applicants. AS Level one is best recommended for beginners, while level 3 for intermediate designers
A registration fee of NGN 5,000 is to be paid on or before academic fees are paid
This is a one time fee (100%) for the entire academic session. Please note that a registration fee of NGN 5,000 must be paid before any fees are made
This is available for only candidates that choose the installment payment approach. This is 70% of the fee paid upfront.
This is for candidates that have selected the installment payment approach. This is the Balance fee of 30% to be settled per annul
This class will teach the art of communicating fashion ideas in a visual form that originates with illustration, drawing and painting. This is also known as Fashion sketching class.
… Fashion sketching plays a major role in designing to preview and visualize designs before sewing the actual clothing
You will learn how to create templates from which part of a garment is traced onto the fabric before they are being cut out and assembled; patterns are usually made of paper. Pattern Making is a blueprint for the garment, on the basis of which the fabric is cut. This is the class for technical drawing or drafting of garment
You will learn how to costume or construct a garment by cutting the fabric into parts according to a pattern which fits the human form; then learn how to join different parts together by sewing. Your expertise in this area clearly differentiates you from the average tailor
Fashion draping is an important part of fashion design.
Production finishing is often used to create high-quality output. You’ll learn all it takes to deliver a top notch designs to it highest quality
